Happy Easter

We here at the Pack house are getting excited. Spring seems to finally be looking around the corner. With this hopeful turn in the weather also came the wonderful Easter holiday. I love Easter. As a kid I loved the eggs and baskets. As I got older I also loved the yummy dinner that came along with the candy. Now as I have children of my own and an ever changing perspective I love Easter for it's promise of new beginnings, of new life and the chance to look to our Savior and his Sacrifice for us all. This year I have been trying to teach my girls the real meaning of Easter. I explained to Kaylee that Easter is a holiday where we celebrate that Jesus having died for us, came back to life so that we can all live forever too. Of course that is the 3 year old breakdown, but can I just say that I am so glad to have the 3 yr old breakdown in my life. Being in Primary and having small kids you explain things with such simplicity that it helps me to remember how important each principle and lesson is. We live in a world where we complicate everything. Where we let people put shades of gray in our mind about certain subjects, but in reality life is black and white. If you don't believe me just ask a  kid. They don't say "well in this case," or "It's bad but not if you do it this way" etc.
Anyhow we had a lovely Easter with family and friends. My counselor Robin gave a lovely Sharing time in Primary about the Savior and his crucifixion and resurrection. She brought in a helium tank and explained to the kids that everyone gets a body (a white balloon) when they are resurrected. However only those who chose to follow the Savior and follow his counsel will rise to live with Him again (ie balloons filled with helium vs balloons filled with air). It was such a an amazing way to explain the concept. I am so grateful for my Savior. I am grateful that he died for us all and that because he was resurrected I can be to. I know that if I do the best I can I too can rise to live with Him again!
Lastly for fun, a few pictures of my babies!!

We hope you all had a wonderful Easter!!

Visits

We love Visits and we've been lucky enough to have a few recently. Of course I am still pretty bad at taking pictures, but I did get a few! In April Kylie and Dan came for a  weekend. It was so nice to see them. She looks so cute pregnant too :) We had some yummy family dinners, a wonderful time at the temple, celebrated some birthdays and just enjoyed being together.

A week later my Brother and his girlfriend surprised us with a visit. My mom called asking us to meet her at the mall. We headed over after dinner and she was strangely excited to go to the Disney Store once we got there. I thought maybe she wants to buy them stuff :) Well Kaylee was looking at dolls and Amanda came up behind her and she turned around and her jaw hit the floor. She just stared at Amanda for a few minutes and then started beaming. It was a fun surprise. We had a great time with them and were sad to see them go.
Kennady would go on her own and just fold her arms. It was SO sweet!

Lastly my Grandma and Aunt Victoria and her kids came to visit this last week for their Spring Break. It was so nice to see them. My girls adore her kids. Kennady couldn't keep away from Emmett and would give him hugs and kisses all the time. She even cried for him. They beaded, enjoyed the Bean Museum and Creamery, ice blocking, Nickel City, Yogurt Land, the Canyon, yummy dinners, parks, movies and lots and lots of trampoline. We enjoyed a lot of popcorn, games and giggling. I love my Aunt and Grandma! I couldn't keep my girls away from my moms and ended up staying there most the week. It was so much fun. We miss you guys SO MUCH! Come back soon!

Just Because

My kids are cute and I can't get enough...so you all have to suffer too :)

Miss Kaylee
Preschool has been Awesome. She can sing the Alphabet backwards, spell things, do a little sign language and write her name. We are so proud. She also keeps us on her toes with her dramatics. She either has us laughing or scared to death of the teen years:) Either way she is our spunky little thing and we love her guts.

A few funnies from Kay:
Me: This is so freaking good
Kay: Mom, you always say bad words and I still forgive you.
Me: No I don't.
Kay: Yes you do. All the time.
*Side note-No I don't :)*

Kay was sad after a meltdown she had in the car over gum so we stayed to talk about it. I asked her what was up and she said, "I was trying to talk to you and you were like blah blah blah and wouldn't listen!" They say toddlers are emotional...what do you think?

Kaylee said a word and Shane asked her if it was her favorite word.
Kay: "No. My favorite word is duh."
Shane: "Duh?"
Kay: Yea you know like when someone says something and you say duh. I also like hecka."

One day Kaylee told me she "Glitterally" meant something. She also was heard saying complicated. It was cute.

My sister called on day and so I asked the girls, "Does anyone want to talk to Aunt Hayley. Kaylee without wasting a breath said, "I Don't." hahaha

Kaylee tells me all the time to get pregnant or get a baby brother, like it works that way. However one day our conversation went like this.
Me: Kaylee guess what? Staci is having another little girl.
Kay: Mom, you're going to have a baby girl.
Me: I thought you wanted a brother.
Kay: (Short Pause) No. I like girls better. I don't like baby boys. I like big boys.
hahaha OH NO!

Kay: Max thinks I'm beautiful
Me: Did he tell you that?
Kay: No he doesn't say it, he thinks it.
Me: He does?
Kay: Yea he thinks it with his heart.

Miss Kennie
Kennady is a crazy little thing. We call her our little boy because she never stops and loves playing wild. Kennady says everything!!! She has the cutest voice and we love her "R's" that sound like "Y's." She is the little kid that goes up and smacks you and runs away and the same little kid that gives me millions of sweet kisses in the mornings. She has no desire to go in the potty and loves to wear dresses like a princess. She loves Apunzel, as she calls her, and know all the words to the songs just like her sister. She is a handful, but we couldn't imagine life without her!

A few funnies from Ken:
Kennie was playing on her phone and said, "My kids are Jiving me crazy!"

We asked Kennady what animals she liked and she said, " Dogs scaye me, kitty cats scaye me, butterflies scaye me." We asked what? Why do butterflies scare you? She said, "They have scary faces on them." We asked her again what animals she did like. She said, "I like fishies, and byrdies and hoysies, thats all.

Kay: Kennie, why is your hair staticy?
Ken: "What does Stacky mean?

Snow, Snow GO AWAY

Here in Utah Winter seems eternal. Just when you think warm weather is on the horizon THIS happens!

Luckily we were able to bundle up and have some fun! In all honesty though...PLEASE BE DONE! No more fake outs. We want Spring, for real :)
