During Shane's Spring Break we were able to go to Texas. We rented a car, loaded up and poor Shane drove 24 hours straight. Our girls were angelic considering and after what seemed a lifetime we arrived in the Lone Star state. We enjoyed a week of great company, delicious food and good ol' Southern Hospitality. The kids swam, Shane golfed and I went on multiple errands by myself :) It was a glorious week! Needless to say the Insanity diet and workout took a backseat to Blue Bell, Pappasittos, Shipleys and BBQ (to name a few goodies). We already miss everyone SO much. We had such a great time. Thank you all who made it wonderful! We can't wait to come visit again soon.

Wedding time
I have been a horrible blogger so of course I am playing catch up :) Back in February I was able to go to Sacramento with my parents for my friends wedding. I have know Elisabeth since we were both about7 or 8. We grew up in the same ward, got through High School and Seminary, enjoyed Girls camp and Stake dances and helped each other through some ups and downs. She was someone who shared a common bond with me, the Gospel, which growing up in California was not common. Like most things, life has taken us our separate ways, but we have always been two friends that when brought back together feel like no time has passed. She had asked me to be a Bridesmaid and luckily I was able to come out and be a part of her special day.
As fortune has it Elisabeth ended up marrying our friend Tiffany's brother-in-law. Tiffany joined the church after her and Nate were married, my Dad baptized her :), and were later sealed. Then after some time, and after the help of a pretty face :), Nate's brother Brandon decided to join the church too. It was such an amazing experience to be in the temple with two of my greatest friends and see them with their sweethearts whom they are now both sealed to forever. It shows the strong person Elisabeth is and the missionary she has always been!
Of course there was also A LOT of fun that weekend too. Putting together flowers, decorating, Rehearsal Dinner, seeing old friends, Bacherlorette Party and tons and tons of laughing! It was a great weekend and I am so glad I was able to go! Thanks parents for the ride, Stina for the dress and all my lovely ladies for all the fun! I love you Elisabeth and I am so happy for you and Brandon!

WHAT?!?
That is right. Shane and I are doing the Insanity workout program from the same people that brought you P90X. Yes, it is hard. Yes, it makes you want to cry and yes, I have already seen results. We are starting our 3rd week and although I still dread doing it I am not killing over as much as the first week. Improvement? I think so!
I have learned to eat smarter and to eat on a tighter schedule, which is kind of hard. I just hope all this sweat and pain is worth it...which I know it is :) After this 60 day program I hope to have a better bod and more confidence. Of course then I can go back to eating my In-N-Out and ice cream...just more sparingly :)

Kennady's 2nd Birthday Bash
In light of Kennady turning 2 we decided to have a big party because at this house everything is over done! Although Kennie won't really remember the ornate decorations, the hours it took me to make the favors and the last minute stress attacks I do it because I love it!! I actually do love throwing parties. I love having people over, I love making food and I love having an excuse to get together as family and friends to socialize and have a good time. Luckily Shane loves it too :) Thank you to all who came and made her birthday party such a fun time. We love you all! Can't wait for the next reason to get together :) Enjoy the pictures. Hopefully next time I'll remember to take a group shot of the kiddies.
PS The favors are mini piƱatas filled with candy, aka two Styrofoam cups taped together and covered in streamers. Cute, but time consuming.
