I always love the time of year where we get to celebrate our freedom and the blessing it is to live in this country. The food and fun is nice too. I feel proud to be an American and cherish every small and simple thing in my life! This year we were up in Alpine celebrating the 4th of July. We camped in the Packs backyard and then the girls went to the parade with Grandma and Grandpa to watch for Hattie and Katie. Later we went to celebrate with the Shepherd family with some delicious BBQ then of course some good ol fireworks. It was a fun day.

Family Fun
It is always fun when family comes into town. We were lucky enough to have my Aunt Victoria and my Uncle Joe and Lily come with their families to visit. We went up to Park City and stayed a week enjoying the pool and shopping. We also celebrated my cousin Ali's sweet 16, rode the Alpine Slide, had some picnics up the canyon and play, play played :) The kids had a blast and so did we.
"Hey you tube"
Yea Alpine Slide. I was too scared to go, but the girls loved it!!
Kennady was worn out. She fell asleep all over the place.
Swim, Swim, Swim. Everyday. The girls became quite the water experts!
Until next time....

I'm so glad when Daddy comes home
My little girls just adore their daddy. The love playing with him, reading with him, going on date with him and just being around him. They've had a hard time with his crazy school and work schedule this summer because some days they don't see him at all. Shane makes up for it when he's home though! Now that the girls are older Father's Day was a fun one. Kaylee decided that she wanted to get Shane a belt and a pink and grey shirt. She was very specific. So we headed to Target to search for those items. It took a while but finally Kaylee saw a pink polo with grey, blue and white stripes on it. She yelled, "There it is. It's perfect." It was the cutest thing ever. I wasn't too sure it was something Shane would wear, but he was a great sport about it and wore it all day. The girls loved making daddy cards, getting breakfast for him and having him open his presents in bed. Kaylee sang to her Dad in church and filled out a paper all about her daddy all by herself. It's one of the funnier things we've started doing in primary. You'd be surprised the answers the kids give about their mom's and dad's.
We were also able to enjoy some yummy food up at the Packs and then visit with my dad's family at my Grandparents house. The girls and I just feel so luck to have a great dad around. Shane is awesome! We also love our Grandpa Lynn and Grandpa John! They are the best grandpa's ever. Shane and I also feel blessed to have some awesome Grandparents ourselves with my Grandpa Miller and Grandpa Shepherd. Great men full of love and charity! Thanks to all the Father's on Father's Day! You make the world better.

Yee haw
The girls went to the Pleasant Grove Strawberry Days Rodeo with Grandma and Grandpa Pack. They had so much fun. That is one thing I love about Utah, all the cities have their own festivities each summer. So the girls got about as cowboy as we could and headed off to see the horses. Kennie was a "brave girl" sitting on a horse and miss Kaylee, although not too sure about the smells of the animals she saw, loved every minute of her "cowgirl" time! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

Summerfest
What do you do when your husband works weekend in the summer? Go to fun things with your girlfriends :) My good friend Cilka and I headed over to Sumerfest in Orem to it check out. The girls loved the ballerinas that performed, the face painting, candy and carnival rides. It was a lot of fun. Thanks Cilka and Payton!!

Big Girl Alert
Our very own Kennady Lynn is potty trained!! One day she got up and I refused to put a diaper on her....a little mean I know. We were running low and I was done with her telling me very clearly, "Mom I pooped, change me." I brought out the little potty, got her excited with jelly beans and had a very enthusiastic cheerleader big sister who helped with encouragement and bam! The first day was a no nap sugar high with a lot of mini number 2's, but now a week later she wakes up every morning dry and loves her big girl panties. I am SO happy! Good Job Ken!
She LOVED putting stickers on her chart. Different colors for...well you know.
